A COUNCILLOR has offered an update on the situation regarding the processing of grants from Thurrock Council during the coronavirus pandemic.
Shane Hebb, Councillor for Stanford-le-Hope West and Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance at Thurrock Council said on social media earlier this week (21 April):
“Update: Thurrock Council has now processed in excess of 1100+ grant payouts; which represents circa 60% of eligible businesses.
“If you think your business is eligible, and you haven’t received a payout, please register details at https://www.thurrock.gov.uk/forms/coronavirus-business-rates-support.”
The first grants payments from the council were paid at the start of this month.
Depending on the amount of staff that make up a business, the business’ turnover and other variables, businesses can apply for grants or other forms of financial support during the coronavirus pandemic.
