A MAN who had been training to run a 10k run due to take place in Hong Kong in early February to raise money for St.Luke’s Hospice in Basildon has decided to go the extra mile after the event was unfortunately cancelled due to covid-19.
In order to make the most out of his training, and to not let down all the lovely people who sponsored him, Grant Reynolds (pictured above) decided to use his Easter Sunday to complete a 10k run.
Mr Reynolds is described by the charity as one of their “very generous supporters” and his Easter Sunday efforts led to an incredible £5,135.47 being raised for the St.Luke’s.
St.Luke’s Hospice, Basildon said: “What a superstar! Thank you so much Grant, and well done on your achievement.”
