THE INVESTIGATIVE journalists who reported on Tory-run Thurrock Council’s £2 billion debt burden joined other journalists who looked in on the extraordinary council meeting, called to debate the controversial decision.

Their report of the proceedings repeats the fact that the public has not been told where the funds have gone.
They also reflected that there seemed little concern from Conservative councillors and friends that Thurrock’s debt is set to exceed £2 billion in the next three years about 10 times it’s spending power.
