Fund to help family of boy who died at Lakeside

MORE than £2,000 has been raise to help the family of a teenage boy who died at West Thurrock’s Alexandra Lake.

Though no official annoucement has been made by the police or coroner’s office, the boy has been named as Asyer Daley from Tilbury on social media with a fundraising appeal endorsed by his family.

The fundraising page set an initial target of £2,000 and that has already been surpassed.

The page was started by another youngster, Joey Mason who is a friend of Asyer’s brother Movado.

It says: “I’m sure you will all be aware of the tragic loss of a young Tilbury boy’s life at Lakeside.

“Asyer’s younger brother Movado and Joey have been best friends for a while and we have got to know his family and have done our best to support them during this heartbreaking time!

“We as a family have had so many people contact us asking how they can help and after speaking to Asyer’s mum have decided to start a collection to help with all the costs at this awful time!

“As parents we can’t begin to imagine what Asyer’s mum, dad and family are going through, especially as Asyer’s mum is heavily pregnant.

“Any donation no matter how big or small will be kindly accepted.

“Asyer and Movado have obviously made so many friends since moving to Tilbury and it would be amazing if we could show his family what Tilbury is capable of when we pull together.”

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the fund can do so here.
