Thurrock groups could benefit from small grants

THURROCK CVS VSDF small grants, administered on behalf of Thurrock Council has released details of their small grants programme to help local groups and organisations working with either specific coronavirus relief projects or support for organisations as a result of the pandemic. The programme would also like to hear from groups and organisations around what support and assistance they need in the future.

Kristina Jackson, Chief Executive Officer “Covid 19 has had a  long lasting impact on some of Thurrock’s voluntary sector in many ways.  With this fund we are hoping to gain a better understating of the support, sustainability and recovery needed for local organisations to ensure we maintain a thriving third sector to help to maintain the valuable support they give to the residents.

If organisations need more that the current grant is offering, please also get in contact with Thurrock CVS as we can help with signposting to alternative funds or supporting you with your applications.”

Grants are available from £250 to £4000 with a limit of £1000 on capital funding.

Any small or local charities active in Thurrock are invited to apply who can evidence the funding will help sustain, offset loss of income, provide maximum benefit and involve communities working together.

Application forms should be completed and submitted by 27 September 2020 to grants@thurrockcvs.org.

Full details, application form and guidance can be found on Thurrock CVS website. www.thurrockcvs.org/vsdf-support-grants.
