COFFEE, BIKES AND ADVICE AT COMMUNITY PARK THIS WEEKEND

HARDIE Park Cafe in Stanford le Hope has announced it is to re-open its doors on Friday, for trading over the weekend, great news for single households and support bubbles that wish to use the indoor cafe facilities.

The Takeout service will be operational for park users and passers-by too on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Hardie Cycle Hub project within the park is also opening its doors at weekends and will be hosting a Bike Sale and Bike Jumble for the local community and a wider circle of cycling fanatics on Sunday 6th December between 9am and 4pm. The event will help to provide the opportunity to view, reserve, purchase bikes in time for Christmas and allow those that have engaged on social media over lockdown to pick up re-furbished cycles that have been advertised for sale.

Fabiana Goodall, Trustee of Friends of Hardie Park said, ‘Our cafe staff and volunteers provide a lifeline for many in the community. It has been a difficult time for those in isolation and we are happy to announce our plans to re-open on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday over the coming weeks closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and adapting our service accordingly.

If you are in the market for a bike this weekend, the Hardie Cycle Hub team would be happy to assist on Sunday at their Bike Sale and Jumble! Bikes, accessories, spares and advice on hand. So many bicycles looking for new homes, we are sure you can find the one. When visiting please remember
your masks and adhere to the 2m social distancing rules to keep everyone safe.’
