A woman who was hit and killed by a lorry during a crash near London Gateway has been named for the first time.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the Corringham terminal at around 6.30am on January 14.
Police closed the road between the A1014 roundabout and the Ocean Boulevard roundabout for several hours while officers carried out their enquiries, but it was re-opened in the late afternoon.
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
And the news was later confirmed by Essex Police.
At an inquest yesterday (January 27), the woman was named as 47-year-old Ingrida Bogusauskaite.
The court heard that Ms Bogusauskaite had suffered multiple severe injuries in the crash.
A post-mortem was carried out on Tuesday (January 26), but pathology tests were inconclusive as they could not receive samples.
However, enquiries are believed to be ongoing into the reason behind this.
The full hearing will take place at 2pm on July 13.
