BELLWAY has finished construction work on the first phase of homes at Renovo in Thurrock.
The housebuilder has completed the first 200 properties at the development, which is located off West Thurrock Green, on land opposite the Lakeside Shopping Centre.

Work is now underway on the second phase, which will comprise of 56 properties for private sale.
Jenny Walker, Sales Director for Bellway Essex, said: “The demand at Renovo has been such that sales have consistently outpaced construction work, with most homes being snapped up off plan before their completion.
“Our attention is now focused on the development’s second phase, which we’re confident will replicate the success of the first. As with phase one, we will be delivering a mixture of apartments and larger homes suited to the needs of local buyers.
“Renovo has proven particularly popular with first-time buyers, especially the apartments which represent an affordable way of getting onto the housing ladder in a location which is within easy commuting distance of the capital. With the extension of the Help to Buy scheme until at least March 2023, we expect this trend to continue.
“Families have also been drawn to Renovo by the good transport links and wide range of amenities on the development’s doorstep. Our four-bedroom houses provide excellent value for those looking to upsize, with open-plan layouts, double bedrooms, and handy storage space, plus good-sized gardens to be enjoyed all-year round.
“Being situated so close to the Lakeside Shopping Centre has undoubtedly been one of the major factors in the development’s success. Another is the transport links. There is easy access to the M25 and A13, while it’s just a 15-minute walk to Chafford Hundred railway station for direct trains to London Fenchurch Street in just over half an hour.”
The Help to Buy scheme has been extended until March 2023, but from April 1 this year it will only be available to first-time buyers. A new regional price cap of £407,400 is also being introduced for properties in the East of England.
The scheme enables buyers to purchase a new-build home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent of the purchase price is provided by the Government as an equity loan, which remains interest free for the first five years.
A selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and four-bedroom houses are currently available at Renovo, with prices starting from £213,995.
