A SOLID Conservative ward and no indication that it will change.
In 2019, the Conservative candidate won by 532 votes.
With just two candidates, Labour will do well to keep it under 500.
We can’t see anyone that will change things. Now and again, Labour make noises about the ward and although they have a consistent candidate in John Cecil, we can’t see him winning.
The Conservative candidate is the former leader of Thurrock UKIP and the former leader of the Thurrock Independents. Yes, the same person.
Putting that to the side for a moment. Mr Snell was an impressive presence in the council chamber. He always came across as a voice of reason and a unifying figure.
He will be an asset for the Conservatives in the chamber.
YT Prediction: Cons Hold
Candidates:
John Cecil: Labour
Graham Snell: Conservative
