Ward by Ward: Tilbury St Chads

THIS is a seat that Labour will really want to win and a seat they have been working very hard to win.

The Labour candidate is Kairen Raper. Her colleagues think very highly of her and believe she can really make a difference.

She will be greatly assisted by having campaigned with Tilbury St Chads councillor, Steve Liddiard, who is high respected in the ward.

Labour lost this to UKIP four years ago (we think Lynn Worrall is over it now) but there is a different landscape now.

John Allen then became a Thurrock Independent. He has received a lot of praise and certainly many people like his brand of community representation. Again, John has to be praised for staying with the Thurrock Independent project.

If there is any Boris bounce then it will be interesting to see how the Tory candidate, Joseph Kaley, does.

YT Prediction: Lab Gain
