FOLLOWING the latest Government advice and guidance, shoppers in Lakeside shopping centre will be given the option on whether or not to wear a face covering from Monday 19 July when Covid restrictions are eased.
“Visitors that choose to continue to wear a face covering are welcome to do so, and those that choose not to will not be challenged. It is now a personal choice, and we ask people to respect one another’s preference so everyone can enjoy a relaxed shopping and leisure experience.
“It is important to remember that wearing a face covering can significantly reduce the transmission of the virus and will help protect one another, this is particularly relevant in enclosed areas such as the lifts and smaller retailers.
“We will continue to provide hand sanitiser stations at entrances and exits, plus each retailer will have their own policy for visiting their store so please observe and respect their individual requirements. A list of stores requiring face coverings will be added to the website.
“We will also continue our enhanced cleaning regime, including key touch points such as door entrances, escalators and seating areas, which will be back on the malls after being removed at the start of the pandemic.
“Over the past few months, it has been extremely encouraging to see our shoppers return to the centre and once again enjoy our fashion, beauty, dining and leisure at Lakeside. With more exciting experiences, new retailers and events coming to the centre, there’s a bright future ahead of us all.”
