Stanford and Corringham schools offer summer camps

STANFORD and Corringham secondary schools, Gable Hall School and Hassenbrook Academy, are offering a huge range of exciting activities throughout the summer with Essex ActivAte.

Essex ActivAte is part of the Holiday Activity Food offer, promoted by football legend, Marcus Rashford. The clubs are completely free for all young people from Year 6 to Year 11 who are eligible for free school meals and run at a discounted cost for everybody else.

Starting from next week (26 July) and running until the end of August, the summer camp is offering a wide selection of different activities for children to take part in!

Interested in Drama, music or dance – then Gable Hall’s performing arts summer school might be just the place. Running from the 26 July – 6 August, students can find themselves enjoying workshops, learning from industry professionals and even going on a trip to watch The Lion King in theatre.

But, if they prefer running around the pitch more than dancing on the stage, there are a huge variety of sports activities going on during the summer holidays. From Rise Sport’s soccer school, to Tri Golf with professional golfer Josh Gray, to multi-sports sessions at Hassenbrook Academy, there are few better places to be this summer.

Even more clubs are going on throughout the month at both schools, with catering courses with Chef Peter Kelly, music lessons from the Thurrock Music Service and even rocketry classes where children can build, learn and launch their own rockets with STEM Science!
