TWO local nurseries were invited to spend a day out at Lakeside shopping centre and meet some pre-historic creatures.
Little Chestnuts Pre-School and Twizzletops Day Nursery visited the centre for a day of exploring, adventuring, and meeting the dinos in person. The children followed Lakeside’s new summer dinosaur trail that ended with a face-to-face meeting with an 18-metre-long T-Rex in The Quay.
Following their dino expedition, Little Chestnuts Pre-School bounced into Flip Out for a complimentary afternoon of fun with the inflatables, obstacles, climbing walls and trampolines.
“We’re thrilled to see our visitors of all ages enjoying our Summer Dino Event, and it was a pleasure to welcome Little Chestnuts and Twizzletops so they could experience all the excitement here at Lakeside too”, said Howard Oldstein, centre director at Lakeside Shopping Centre.
He added: “After so long without events and family-focused activities, it’s brilliant to see the centre back in action. We look forward to welcoming new and returning visitors to Lakeside as we continue to open brand-new retailers and launch fantastic experiences for our customers.”
Staff at Lakeside also made dinosaur balloons for all the children.
Saturday 17 July marked the start of Lakeside’s Dino Event, which saw a herd of dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes make their way into the shopping centre for their summer migration.
Visitors of the centre have since been enjoying the free dino trail, dino-themed activities and spotting the colossal 18-meter-long, five-meter-tall T-Rex located out in The Quay, which is all set to stay until Tuesday 31 August.
