Another prickly problem prompts appeal by Wildlife Hospital

THE Thurrock-based South Essex Wildlife Hospital is hoping local folk will rally round and help in its efforts to save hedgehogs.

In August Thurrock Nub News reported on the hospital’s survey to try and find new areas where hedgehogs could be released safely.

During recent weeks the number of prickly patients that the hospital at Orsett has had to deal with has soared – so much so it is struggling to feed them.

So a new appeal has gone out from the hospital which says: “We have so many hedgehog patients and have almost run out of tinned food again. If anyone is able to donate some hog supper, we would be so grateful.

“Preferably loaf dog or cat food but all other types also very welcome.”

You can contact the hospital via its Facebook page.

Anyone wishing to help can also do so by the hospital’s Amazon wish list, accessible via this list. below if folk prefer.
