FOLLOWING the retirement of Jim Cooper I have been looking to bring someone into Grays Athletic, not only to assist me, but to help improve this group with the same mindset and values that I and the club are looking for.
This person has experience of first team management at Bishops Stortford and Witham Town as well as being heavily behind recruitment of players whilst coaching at Maldon and Tiptree FC. He is highly respected by many in non-league circles and I know is much sought after.

I would personally like to thank the board in assisting my efforts and for Wayne Brown, the Maldon & Tiptree manager, in allowing me to have these discussions.
Therefore I would like to announce that Adam Flint will be joining me as Assistant Manager and I am really looking forward to working with him to continue to build this special group of players that the fans will be proud of.
Please all welcome Adam to the club”
Following his appointment, Adam had this to say –
“ I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious club in Grays Athletic, it’s a club with a rich history and loyal support.
I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside Paul Joynes, who I have always admired.
I’m also looking forward to working with this group of players, some of which I have worked with before, and I have followed the progress of the club closely over the last couple of seasons.
In recent seasons I’ve been part of a successful Maldon & Tiptree set up – learning from two top coaches in Wayne Brown & Paul Abrahams and want to thank them for that.
I’m certain I can bring a wealth of knowledge of the level we are currently sitting, and help add something extra in the push to get promoted.
Looking forward to the journey ahead with this fantastic club”
All at Grays Athletic welcome Adam and hope he enjoys working with everyone at the club.
