Football: Rocks take an important point against Casuals

East Thurrock United 1 v 1 Corinthian Casuals

EAST Thurrock come into this game on the back of a win against Lewes and were hoping to continue the streak with their new management.

Corinthian Casuals are sitting comfortably mid table. The game starts with a penalty shout from the Rocks, Alex Hernandez brought down in the area and converting the penalty calmly.

This started a good 10 minutes from them, creating some chances which couldn’t be put away. Tobi Joseph and Hernandez doing well on the wings.

Corinthian Casuals scored in the 24th minute with an acrobatic effort from Warren Mfula against the run of play completely.

A brilliant save from Rocks keeper Arthur Janata was the only highlight at the end of the first half.

Corinthian’s number 11, Bobby Mills was shown a red card following an elbow to a Rocks player. \The game upped intensity and was shown on the pitch.

The next 20 minutes was end to end, both teams coming close to scoring.

Defensively East Thurrock were excellent.

A few big chances from Rocks strikers in the last minutes of the game but were blazed over the bar. Full time 1-1.
