RUNWOOD Homes’ Group Hospitality Manager, Chris Williams, has recently launched the Care Chef Competition, open to all chefs, cooks and kitchen assistants within the organisation.
Across the Runwood Homes Group, teams always strive to make mealtimes a pleasant and memorable experience, within a relaxing, sociable environment.
Runwood Homes’ chefs are passionate about food and ensure that they meet every resident’s needs whilst making sure meals are both tasty and full of nutrition. Food plays a big part in resident’s lives, and Runwood Homes are excited to see the talent of their chefs showcased through the Care Chef Competition.
All chefs, cooks and kitchen assistants are invited to email a picture of their signature dish to Chris Williams, Group Hospitality Manager, and James Cotton, Group Development Chef. The dish can be something they love to cook and that residents love to eat, along with a brief description of why the dish was chosen. The entries can either be a main course or a dessert.
Entries will close of the 1st of April, and the best six entries will be selected to enter a live final at Billingsgate Fish Market in London, where the finalists will have 60 minutes to prepare and cook their dishes and serve to special guest judges. The winner will receive a prize, an award and the dish will be certified as a “Runwood Certified Dish” featured on menus across the country!
The final at Billingsgate will also include a tour of the market with a fish expert, a Ready Steady Cook-off with Chris and James, and an overnight stay in London.
