THE Aldi store on London Road in Grays reopened this morning at 8am, following a significant refurbishment and extension.
Grays shoppers can now benefit from a larger retail space of 1,484 sqm, offering an enhanced, convenient and varied shopping experience, with a large range of award-winning British products at unbeatable prices to choose from.
The new format has been created to make shopping even easier for Grays customers, with the store now having more space and clearer signs to make shopping effortless. Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle, preventing them from getting squashed under customers’ shopping, and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.
Grays customers can also take a walk down the ‘Aisle of Aldi’, where they will find legendary Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday. During reopening week, the store will be offering a range of Aldi Mania clothing, including Christmas hats for £3.99, Christmas jumpers for £9.99 and hoodies or sweatshirts for £12.99 each.
The store will be run by Store Manager Nikki, along with a team of 36 colleagues from the local community. In a welcome boost to the regional economy, Aldi have created eight new jobs as a result of the extension and are continuing to recruit for the Grays store. Empty shelves everywhere. & still 3 hours till closing. Went 2 Lidl !!!!
Don’t go there as they leave the cold food on the trolleys in the isles and stock up the fridges when the shop is empty. The store is always busy so the food goes off.
Opened off food on a few occasions!
