Tilbury boss John Coventry departs club after string of poor results

John Coventry

FOLLOWING Monday’s 4-2 defeat at Brentwood Town, Tilbury FC manager John Coventry and the Isthmian North club have parted ways.

The defeat leaves Dockers four places from the foot of the table in a zone that could see them end the season in a relegation trap if results don’t improve.

After the match Coventry, who was appointed in the close season, met with club owner Danny Nash and afterwards his departure was announced to the club’s players.

Also sacked club assistant manager John Coventry jnr and first team coach Kevin Scott.

It is believed a new Tilbury manager will be announced shortly, though the club statement says they are not looking for a full time manager’ so applications ‘will not be looked at’.
