Thurrock Council hoping to boost relations with local businesses

THURROCK Council is seeking to improve relationships with local businesses and has launched a review of its business board.

A statement from the council says: “Strengthening and growing the local economy is a core objective of Thurrock Council.

“We want to support local businesses in ways that boost productivity and competitiveness across all sectors of our economy.

“The Backing Thurrock strategy for economic recovery, resilience and a return to growth stressed the importance of working with the business community to support growth and achieve a more vibrant economy.

“As part of improving and broadening engagement and building a stronger network of Thurrock businesses, we are undertaking a review of the work and membership of the Thurrock Business Board.

“We want to co-design, with you, a refreshed business network organisation and want to hear your thoughts and views on how this could be developed and the role and support it could provide to local businesses to help them to grow and prosper. The voice and input from businesses is vital to help shape future economic strategy and place-based thinking for Thurrock.

“If you have any thoughts and want to engage on a refreshed business network organisation for Thurrock, you can contact the council’s Economic Development Team at: business@thurrock.gov.uk
