STATEMENT from Essex Police: “We were called to a fire at a house in Branksome Avenue, Stanford-le-Hope shortly after 3.05pm today (Tuesday 4 April).
Sadly, a man inside was found dead.
“Essex County Fire and Rescue Service will carry out an investigation into the cause of the fire but we are not currently treating the man’s death as suspicious”.
