EARLIER this year, 14 year old Olivia Forrest represented England at the SIAB International Cross Country event where she took the silver medal and finished first English girl. Following on from this, her first international vest, she represented Team GBR at the Biathle (Modern Pentathlon) European Championships last Thursday in Munich.
Despite being 14, she became the U17 2023 European Champion finishing some 18 seconds in front of the silver medal winner in a field of Europe’s best athletes competing in near 30 degree temperatures in an event that comprises a 1200m run, 200m open water swim followed by a second 1200m run.
This is the second time Olivia of Ockendon, Thurrock, has represented her Country and we look forward to many more international vests and the prospect of competing at the World Championships later this year.
