ON Tuesday 11 July more than 300 local school pupils took part in the very first Royal Opera House nationwide Create Day.
They were joined by pupils from participating schools in Coventry and Doncaster through a live video link and the event included a live broadcast, led by Blue Peter presenter Mwaka Mudenda, from outside the Royal Opera House itself in Covent Garden.

It marked the culmination of pupils’ participation in the Royal Opera House’s dedicated Create and Learn programme, which brings music and dance to thousands of children and teachers across the country.
Cllr Deb Arnold, Deputy Leader of Thurrock Council, also attended and had an opportunity to join other dignitaries to see the children perform.
