M&S has today revealed its new look 140 seat Café within the new M&S Lakeside store, which opens next month. M&S Lakeside is one of the first stores across the UK to have the new design which sees a complete step change with new branding and improved all day delicious menus.
The store’s new look M&S Café offers customers table service in a super stylish space to eat, drink and relax, with freshly prepared M&S Food, barista-made hot drinks and comfy lounge seating. And there’s a whole host of M&S Café favourites on the menu, including Magic Coffee®, the hottest new style of coffee to reach the UK since the Flat White and exclusive to M&S Cafés, and an all-new Winter Menu, with favourites like Beer Battered Fish & Chips and Our Best Ever Mac & Cheese – all for under £9. Opening in time for Christmas, customers will be able to tuck into M&S’s BEST-EVER Christmas menu and pick from a selection on merry mains, seasonal snacks and dreamy drinks. Some of the hot picks include the new Turkey & Ham Hock Toastie with gravy dipper, Turkey Pot Pie, and Giant Festive Cheesy Rarebit Crumpet.
Colin The Caterpillar Hot Chocolates are a must try – an indulgent hot chocolate, topped with whipped chocolate cream, Colin sprinkles and a Christmas Colin face. Customers will also be able to try the Gingerbread Frappe – this ice cool, creamy Gingerbread Frappe is infused with spiced gingerbread syrup, dressed with Speculoos sauce then topped with lashings of whipped cream and a gingerbread man biscuit.
Store Manager, Dior Hudson, who has worked at M&S for 10 years, said: “We’re really excited to share a sneak peek of our new award winning cafe design and we’re proud that M&S Lakeside will be one of the first stores in the country to open with this stylish new look. The team are all working hard to get the whole store ready for opening and we can’t wait to welcome customers through the door on 15th November and share everything we’ve been working on.”
The new store is located inside Lakeside Shopping Centre at Lakeside Thurrock Centre, W Thurrock Way, Grays RM20 2ZQ. Opening times are 8am-9pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
I went today. In all the time I have been to m and s have only had to queue at entrance once. We trued twice and gave up clearly no available seats. Even though we are local won’t be hurrying back. How does the number of seats compare to old store?
Worst experience ever after waiting 50 mins after placing order breakfast arrived cold … tables floors dirty .. not enough staff … I refused breakfast because cold and asked for refund … obviously trying to run on shoe string … go look at Pret Mange heavy flow of customers but tills work and staff clearing tables .. your new idea is not working admit and try again employ more staff you need them !!!!
