Goals by Eduino Vaz (60) and Harry Gibbs (80) secured all three points for the Millers.
Hemel’s goal was scored by Joe Iaciofano (89).
The result leaves Aveley level on points with league leaders Yeovil.
They return to league action on Saturday away at Bath City.
