OFFICERS who carried out a lengthy investigation into a collision which left two runners seriously injured have secured charges against a man.
Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit has continued its inquiries since the incident, which took place in Grays on the evening of Wednesday 8 November 2023.

Two women were running along Dock Road shortly after 8.10pm when they were in collision with a vehicle at the junction with Marshfoot Road and Old Dock Approach Road.
The two women suffered serious and lasting injuries and their recovery is ongoing.
Following an extensive investigation, a man was arrested in connection with the collision on 26 November 2023 and subsequently released under investigation while our inquiries progressed.
As a result of this continuing work, two charges of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving have now been authorised against Hurshdip Singh, 22, of Blackshots Lane, Grays.
He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 March.
