Isthmian League North
Sporting Bengal United 0 v 3 Grays Athletic
GRAYS Athletic ended their Isthmian North season with a convincing win against relegated Sporting, with the highlight being a converted penalty by goalkeeper and club icon Danny Sambridge on his last appearance for the Blues.
It was almost a case of ‘what might have been’ for Grays, who ended the season with ten wins and two draws – 32 points – from their final 12 games.

They finished ninth, eight points off the season and ruing a mid season blip that saw them slip down the table.
Excellent build-up and a strike from Alejandro Machado opended the scoring in the 56th minute.
Substitute Harry Hope added a second six minutes later and Sambridge scored from the spot on 72 minutes.
Myles Dominique was sent off to compound Sporting’s misery soon after.
