THE children and teachers at Quince Tree Day Nursery in South Ockendon have created Tommy Tomato who is on a mission to let people know how good tomatoes are.
Quince Tree hopes that he will encourage more people to start eating tomatoes and discover how delicious they are.
The idea has come from the nursery taking part in “Growing To Love Tomatoes” which is a campaign associated to the company “Veg Power”that gets children growing their own tomatoes at home over the summer to encourage children to eat more healthily.
