LONDON Stansted is set to welcome up to 840,000 passengers to the airport during the upcoming October half-term holiday as families take advantage of the final chance for some sunshine before the colder months set in.
Between Saturday 25 October and Sunday 2 November, passengers will be heading to popular destinations across Europe and beyond, with Turkey, the Canary Islands, Spain, and Portugal among the top choices for short-haul escapes. For those travelling further afield, Dubai, Amman and destinations across North Africa remain firm favourites for guaranteed warmth.
Across the half-term period, around 400,000 passengers are expected to depart from London Stansted, with 440,000 arriving in the UK. Sunday 26 and Monday 27 October are forecast to be the busiest days, with more than 52,000 passengers set to fly-out on Sunday alone.
