PARKRUN is incredibly proud to share that the parkrun primary initiative has reached a major milestone, as more than 2,000 schools have now signed up across the UK and Ireland reports parkrun.
Parkrun primary connects primary schools with their local junior parkrun event, encouraging pupils and their families to be active on a Sunday morning.Local business directory.
A spokesperson said: “We have seen so many wonderful experiences come from the programme, which is supported by funding from the London Marathon Foundation.
parkrun primary is now one of the main ways new people hear about junior parkrun, with 13% of new sign-ups coming from a school.
We also know registrations from schools are twice as ethnically diverse (20%) compared to other registrations (10%).
