SWIMMERS from Thurrock Swimming Club participated in the second weekend of the East Region Championships. Individual and relay success was enjoyed by the team who train at Blackshots Leisure Centre with Impulse Leisure.
Zak Walker won gold in the 50 fly and 2nd in the 50 breast, Henry Dean 1st in the 50 fly, Rebecca Coogan finished 3rd in the 200 free, Daniel Thompson 2nd in the 200medley, Ivan Ijomoni 2nd in the 50 fly and 2nd in the 200medley, James McGettigan 2nd in the 50 breast, Riley Allen 3rd 100 fly. Also, congratulations to Jeremy Godwin, Nicholas Mitroi, Will Minister & Kai Patel.
In the 1500m event, David Hoara won Bronze, Poppy Ellingford, Victor Dryankov, Iona Parkes, Esme Parkes and Lilly Franks achieved personal best times and Adam Thompson swam a great race. Also, congratulations to the 1500m swimmers who competed in other individual events and achieved best times and made finals Zachary Chambers, Evan Cotter, Nathan Alumanah and Kian Parsons & Bogdan Yermakovich.
