Man charged with serious of violent offences in Corringham

A PORTSMOUTH man has been charged with multiple offences committed in Essex.

Jamie Williams has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, stalking, coercive and controlling behaviour, intentional strangulation, intentional suffocation, making threats to kill, theft and two counts of criminal damage.

The offences were reported to have taken place between 2023 and 2026 in Corringham.

The 25-year-old, of Langstone Road in Portsmouth, was located in the city on 17 May before being brought to Essex for interview, and was remanded to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 May. He will now appear at Basildon Crown Court at a later date in week commencing commencing 15 June.
