OFFICERS have recovered three stolen vehicles and suspected stolen gas cylinders after acting on a tracker activation in Thurrock.
On the afternoon of Thursday 14 May, a vehicle tracking device led officers to a Toyota RAV4, which had been reported stolen from east London two days earlier.
Further enquiries at the scene identified two more vehicles which had also been stolen in London.

All three vehicles, along with a quantity of suspected stolen gas cylinders, were found concealed inside three vans on land off Medebridge Road in Grays.
Specialist officers from Essex Police’s Stolen Vehicle Intelligence Unit (SVIU) attended the scene and are continuing to carry out detailed enquiries.
PC Will Batchelor, Roads Policing Unit, said:
“This result highlights how we use intelligence and technology, such as vehicle tracking systems, to quickly locate stolen vehicles and disrupt those involved in vehicle crime.
“Our Stolen Vehicle Intelligence Unit works across force boundaries to identify and recover stolen vehicles, and to target the organised criminality often linked to this offending.
“Criminals do not stop at borders, and neither do we.
“We will continue to work with partners and forces across the country to track down stolen vehicles and those responsible.”
If you have information about vehicle crime in your area, please report it to us so we can take action.
