THURROCK MP, Jackie Doyle-Price has slammed Tory bosses over rumours of a snap General Election in June reports Buzzfeed.

A two page article in the Daily Mail on Sunday revealed Tory plans to go the the nation on June 6th. A few hours later, a WhatsApp exchange between MPs revealed that some were less than impressed with the plans.

Ms Doyle-Price, who has a majority of just 345 asked “Who is briefing this?” She then made reference to a tweet by Tory chief-of-staff Gavin Barwell which highlighted an opinion poll that gave the Tories a seven point lead over Labour. She said: “It would be helpful if the Prime Ministers chief of staff did not gleefully tweet out these polls.”

Other MPs in the group described the article as “deeply unsettling” and “amateur night”.

  1. I have to agree with JDP on this one.
Theresa May has a fantastic record with elections. Last time she was in the lead going into it as a sure thing to increase her number and lost her majority.
This time they are talking about one a couple of months after the Brexit date. I am expecting an economic hit. When an election is called the Media have to give 50/50 coverage instead of how the system operates now.
So she is commiting electral suicide, who ever is advising her is a complete idiot and out of touch with reality.
