FOR many years, drivers have driven on the M25, heading for Thurrock. They see the notice for Junction 30 and enter the slip road. They then see the large green directional sign for the oncoming roundabout. What they do notice at this point and have noticed for many many years is that the words GRAYS has been obscured by graffiti.
Labour’s Deputy Leader Val Morris-Cook recognises that it is these small but significant incidence of vandalism that need to be wiped out as part of the building blocks to putting Pride in Thurrock. It may not even be that. If you were going to visit a house with a view to buy and when you got there, the front door had graffiti all over it. What would your next actions be. Exactly, back in the car.
The Tories may scoff but the perception has always been that they are happy as long as Chafford Hundred and Brandon Groves are kept clean. You can only applaud the intention.
