Firefighters were called to a fire in a terraced house in Oak Road, Grays. The first floor was heavily smoke logged and crews wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire by 20:47 using one hose reel.
Crews used a thermal image camera to check for any hotspots to clear the property free from smoke crews used a high pressure fan.
