On sunday 4th July Thurrock FC hosted the non-league supporters six-a-side competition at Ship Lane. Twenty teams plus supporters turned up and made the occasion very memorable.
The overall winners were FC Barolle who play in the Ilford District League but it was a close thing. In the final they overcame Tilbury (Anchor) on penalties after the game ended goalless. Tilbury seemed to have the better chances in the match but unfortunately the FC Barolle keeper pulled of a fine save to deny Tilbury their fifth penalty goal.
