AFTER a successful winter campaign to improve the lighting for Seabrooke Rise residents, Cllr Martin Kerin and local resident Ian Zanders completed a recent summer inspection of the lights. At the end of the inspection, over 30 defective lights were reported to the council.

Following the inspection Cllr Kerin said:
“We had hoped, following our winter campaign between November ’21 and January ’22, that the situation with the lights would be maintained and actioned as and when lights became defective. It appears, instead, that the situation has been allowed to build up again.
“We urge the council to repair the lights as soon and possible and not let it build up like it did last winter.”
Mr Zanders said:
“We have reported over 30 defective lights to the council. This is a huge number to be out of action. You can imagine how bad it would get by winter if we hadn’t stepped in!
“Us residents deserve to receive the service we pay for. We want the council to get on with it and repair the lights ASAP.”
