AVELEY’S battle to stave off relegation wasn’t helped as they list 1-0 at home to Enfield.
In this relegation battle at Parkside, Aveley had only suffered one loss in their last eight home games, while Enfield Town had been winless on the road for five games since their midweek victory over Tonbridge Angels back in December. However, a second-half header from Youngs turned the tables.
The visitors started strongly, with Chukwu and Hutchinson forcing Aveley’s keeper, James Holden, into action within the first five minutes.
Despite Aveley’s multiple chances throughout the first half, they failed to capitalise.
