THE countdown is on to the eagerly-anticipated world premiere of a brand-new concept in music and dance at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend.
Love Sensation Live honours five decades of house, disco, and club classics in one evening of live music and dance on Saturday, September 27.
The brainchild of Southend-based show producers TAL Productions, this unique spectacular aims to put the word “community” squarely in community event.
“Love Sensation Live is unique in that everyone taking part is based in south east Essex,” said Tom Costello from the production company.
“It’s a live house, disco, and club classics show featuring a full live band; talented choir; a sensational team of live vocalists; a huge dance troupe; DJs; plus incredible sound and light; and a thoroughly immersive, captivating, giant LED wall and video screen production.
Together, the evening weaves its way through five incredible decades of dance music.
“From the days of disco when Chic, Donna Summer and Chaka Khan were firing up dancefloors across the world,” says Tom.
“On to the rise of house music under the influence of the likes of Masters At Work, Todd Terry, and Barbara Tucker.
“To the club classics – by the likes of Ultra Nate, Robin S, and CeCe Peniston – which reign supreme to this day.”
Everyone involved in Love Sensation Live is a creative professional from south east Essex.
Love Sensation comes fresh from full-house events in London at iconic venues including Ministry of Sound and Queen of Hoxton. Recent guests have included Fat Tony, Dave Lee (FKA Joey Negro), Michael Gray and French Disco sensation Young Pulse.
“It is a full live show based on the music that has driven those events to be so successful,” says Tom.
It is a first for theatres – bringing the energy and excitement of all-time favourites and modern classics to life, including: Everybody Dance, Precious Love, I Feel Love, Put ‘Em High, I’m Every Woman, Bourgie Bourgie, Show Me Love, Finally, Love Sensation, Haven’t You Heard, Shine On, Free, Love Hangover, Strings Of Life, and many more.
