A PURFLEET teenager has been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and attempted to cause grievous bodily harm after an investigation by Grays CID.

Kevin DaSilva, 18, of Botany Terrace, London Road, appeared before Chelmsford magistrates on 11 October. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on 3 November.
He has been charged with:
- Possession of a knife in a public place in Toronto Road, Tilbury, on 8 October 2025
- Robbing a person of an electric scooter on 8 October 2025 in Tilbury
- Threatening a person in Grays High Street, a public place, with a machete on 9 October 2025
- Attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent
- Possession of cannabis
