THURROCK and Brentwood Mind is encouraging local residents to embrace the festive spirit and take part in this year’s Mental Elf Fun Run and Walk, taking place on Saturday 6th December at Impulse Leisure, Belhus, and Sunday 7th December at Weald Country Park, Brentwood.
The annual event is a fun and family-friendly way to get active while supporting better mental health across the Thurrock and Brentwood communities. Participants are invited to run, walk, or jog the route — all while dressed in their most festive elf attire — to help raise awareness and vital funds for local mental health services.

The Mental Elf Fun Run provides an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together in a positive and uplifting environment. Funds raised will directly support Thurrock and Brentwood Mind’s work to provide accessible mental health support, promote wellbeing, and reduce stigma across the local area.
Local businesses, schools, and community groups are encouraged to get involved — whether by entering a team, sponsoring the event, or spreading awareness through festive fundraising activities.
Schools can also take part through the Mental Elf Schools Pack, which includes creative wellbeing activities and mindfulness ideas designed to help children learn about mental health in a supportive and engaging way.
For further information on how to sign up, take part as a team, or explore sponsorship opportunities, please visit www.thurrockandbrentwoodmind.org.uk or email [email protected].
Let’s get moving for mental health this Christmas — because every elf matters.
