“Priceless” jewellery stolen in Aveley

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Shannon Way, Aveley.

Between 8am and 3.30pm on Monday, February 8, a suspect smashed a rear window, causing £600 damage, and stole two Ipods, a games console, and two laptops, worth a total estimated £910. An estimated £2,000 worth of jewellery, including a locket with two pictures of men inside and a gold ring with a large diamond.

Investigating officer, Pc Hannah Millyard, said: “The jewellery stolen is of huge sentimental value to the victims, who are devastated by their loss. We need the public’s help, and I am urging anyone that is approached to buy these items to contact us urgently, so they can be reunited with their owner.”
