HUNDREDS of families enjoyed the summer sunshine at Grays Town Park as Thurrock Council threw a great big lunch.
As you can see from the film, families relaxed, children played on what was a wonderfully organised event.
A number of organisations were also on hand to profer advice and guidance on a number of issues.
As one parent said: “This was a great day. I can sit safely with my children and my husband actually spoke to someone at a stall re a council issue they had. Better than queuing up in the stuffy council offices on a warm day.”
YT spoke to the ever-affable mayor, cllr Charlie Curtis about the day.
Good to see TBC worganising this type of event, it is good to get people engaging in converstaion and to meet the local councillors and mayor, I hope that they cleared the park up afterwards as most morning the place looks like a rubbish dump…..
