239 Stifford residents have signed a petition campaigning to retain the 200 bus service.
Stifford councillor Angie Gaywood presented the petition at the meeting of the full council on Wednesday evening.
Cllr Gaywood said: “The 200 bus has become a vital transportation link to my residents. It gives many of my residents vital access to hospital services.
“We call on 1st Essex to re-instate the service or provide alternative provision.”
