FIFTEEN children from Thameside Junior School Choir, Manor Road, Grays treated tenants from Thurrock Council’s Doug Siddons Court, Elm Road, Grays (a sheltered housing complex) to a lovely half-hour sing-song session on Wednesday 28 March.

Tenants loved the choir and said afterwards that they would love an hour-long session next time.

This is the second time they have sung at the hall. The children received refreshments and nibbles once they have finished and tenants get a chance to speak with them. It is also an opportunity for the choir to get in some practice and tenants love it.

Mrs Lynn Billinghurst, the school’s deputy Head teacher, orchestrated the choir, and has put the hall on her books for future visits; next time will be in July this year.
