Pegasus Club still positive about future

OFFICIALS at the under-threat Pegasus Club in Corringham are still hopeful that the sports and recreation club will remain open.

A club spokesperson said: “The club is continuing to its negotiations with Price Waterhouse regarding the future of the club.

“The negotations have involved prospective purchasers including the Vopak consortium who have purchased the refinery.

“We have further meetings scheduled with Price Waterhouse Coopers in the coming weeks and as soon as we have any further definitive information we will communicate it to our members.

“The Executive Committee is firmly of the opinion that the club will be able to fulfill its obligations until at the least until May 31st, 2013.

“The Club Committee is investigating all options to secure the long term future of the club.”

Meanwhile it is business as usual with the clubs annual firework display taking place on the 5th of November,

Bonfire lighting at 7.15 followed by fireworks at 7.45.

All ticket prices on the gate £5.00, or purchased in advance £4.00
