Update: 1155hrs
A WOMAN has died after falling from the QE2 bridge this morning.
Police were called to the bridge at 9.40am following concerns for the welfare of a woman standing outside the bridge railings.
The woman was later seen to fall.
A rescue operation searched the River Thames including police marine units, police helicopter and a lifeguard vessel.
The woman has been found.
There are delays on the M25 clockwise as one lane is closed on the bridge due to the incident.

What a poor woman. Does anyone have any idea why she was on the bridge? Was it a suicide attempt? Did she have a mental health problem?
