THE GREAT blooming tea party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care took place in Allenby Crescent, Grays organized by Mrs Pam Dosanjh.
To allow for all the festivities to take place the road was closed and there were loads of different attractions on offer.
Everybody in the street helped make the event a success and a fun day was had by all.
Just under £900 was raised on the Sunday afternoon with the promise of more to come.
The activities included:
Bring and buy with donations from the residents and friends.
Face Painting
Guess the weight of the cake which was made in the shape of a teapot
How many sweets in the jar.
20 plus raffle prizes with many donations from Lakeside shopping centre
Home made cake stall
Refreshments
Henna Tattoos and transfers
