POLICE are appealing for help in finding a watch of great sentimental value.

The gold Longines watch was stolen from a flat in Crammavill Street, Grays, while the owner was in hospital.

It is thought the watch was taken around December 20, 2013, along with around £500. The watch is thought to be worth about £500 and is inscribed with the name Colin Bannister and possibly Proctor and Gamble.

Mr Bannister has since passed away but his family would love to be reunited with the watch.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have been offered the watch for sale or who may know where it is or who took it to contact the officer in the case Pc Peter Lee at Grays police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
